We work together to make your stay in Montana exceed your expectations. Your fly fishing trip is customized to meet your needs. If you want to fish early or experience an evening hatch just let us know. We are here to show you a good time and catch fish.
Chances are you might forget a rain coat or might not have the right leaders and flys. We always carry additional rods, generally thousands of flies, leaders, and extra clothes. Rods, reels, waders, and boots are always available to rent at one of the many local fly shops.
My cooler is well stocked with drinks and a gourmet lunch. Depending on the fishing conditions we might be in a raft, drift boat or walk wading a small stream. Livingston is centrally located to several fisheries that even during runoff we will find fish.
Our guided fishing trip starts out at the fly shop at 8:00 am. Here we can get licenses, flies, waders, leaders, and general supplies. From the fly shop we will travel no more than 45 minutes to the river. At the river I will unload the boat, help you with your gear, rods, and maybe even give a short casting introduction. We typically float 8-10 miles a day, stopping for lunch and a few spots to wade fish. We drop you off at our meeting place around 5-6 p.m.
For the novice angler casting instructions, reading the water currents, recognizing holding, feeding and resting lies are a few things we will introduce you to. As a beginner you will be catching trout the first day and leaving with a new understanding of the fishery. For the experienced angler the choices are varied and many after a short discussion of your fishing experience.
Deposit and Refund policy
I like to hold a credit card number to reserve dates. If you wish to put the trip on your credit card that's fine but I prefer to be paid in cash after each days fishing trip is completed. Cancellations 60 days prior we can reschedule. Less than 60 days 50% deposit is due. In the event of a no show full payment is required for all scheduled days (this is when your credit card will be charged). But certainly, if we stay in contact we will always work something out.
I personally guide all trips. Multi-boat trips I hire other Outfitters to help out.
